Born in Independence, Missouri on Sept. 26, 1919.
Departed on July 20, 2006 and resided in Cottonwood, Arizona.

Thola Dee Settle Daniels died suddenly on July 20, 2006 at 86 years old. She was preceded in death by J. Graham Daniels, her husband and childhood sweetheart, and her brother Bob Settle.

She was born in Independence, Missouri and lived in Calif., Illinois, Oklahoma, Utah, Colorado, and Arizona throughout her life.

She was a loving, caring and involved mother, homemaker, master seamstress and quilter. Her other interests included collecting shells and dolls. She loved gardening, reading, traveling, bowling, and playing bridge. Activities included Honored Queen of Jobs Daughters, church youth group advisor, Girl Scout volunteer, President of the American Society of Civil Engineers Auxiliary, member of Eastern Star and she volunteered throughout her life with organizations in her churches and communities.

She is survived by her sister Shirley and husband Lou, Ft. Meyers, Fla., her sister-in-law Mickey, Kansas City, Mo.; daughters, Sheryll and husband Bill, Flagstaff, Ariz., Sue and husband John, Irvine, Calif., Diane and husband David, Prescott, Ariz., and Karen and husband Jay, Trumansburg, N.Y.; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She will be remembered for her strong independent nature and quiet disposition.

Her celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 26, at 10:00 a.m. at Verde Valley Presbyterian Church, 1500 E. Hombre, Cottonwood, Ariz.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Stroke Association, Pacific Mt. Affiliate, American Heart Association, 710 2nd Ave #900, Seattle, Wash., 98104.
