Born in Lima, Ohio on Sep. 21, 1923
Departed on Aug. 30, 2006 and resided in Sedona, AZ.

Rhea Mae Sommer, 82, resident of Sedona for 38 years, passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2006 in Prescott, Arizona. She was born September 21, 1923 in Lima Ohio, where she grew up and was a graduate of the local High School.

Rhea served her country in the United States Navy as AS, S2C during World War II. Later she worked for Wells Fargo Bank as a Banker, dedicating 18 years before retiring. Rhea was also a member of the BPOE of Sedona.

She loved fishing, camping and dancing.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack.

Rhea leaves behind her companion and friend for twenty years, George Tice, Sedona, Ariz.; son, Michael J. (Chisato) Sommer, Mesa, Ariz.; daughters, Nancy and Randy Elmer, Camp Verde, Ariz., and Jacque Somm, Ks.; brothers, Dean and Eileen Hollar, Jim and Jerry Hollar, and Bill and Bonnie Hollar, all of Ohio; sister, Glenna Rose Barnett, also of Ohio; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2006 at 12:00 p.m. at Westcott Funeral Home, 1013 E. Mingus Ave., in Cottonwood.
