Mardel "Bud" Sexton, age 90, passed away March 3, 2007 in Surprise, Ariz. Mardel was born December 31, 1916 to Ted and Eva Parsons in Beaver City, Neb. She was raised there and later moved to Omaha where she attended Central High School.

She was a homemaker and mother, and after raising her family she began working for Faberge as a quality control inspector, which she did for 16 years. She came to Arizona in 1985 settling in Wickenburg.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and volunteered in the LDS Family History Center for years. Mardel was an avid reader and loved to work crossword puzzles.

She is survived by son Ted Jordan of Wickenburg and son and daughter-in-law Paul and Carolyn Jordan of Warsaw, Mo., daughter Sheri Barnes of Wickenburg, and daughter-in-law Britt Sexton of Coeur d Alene, Idaho; grandchildren Jeff Barnes (Stephanie) of Wickenburg, Michael Lacey (Kim) of Lake Elsinore, Calif., Denise Lacey of Payson, Ariz., Alicia Sexton of Evergreen, Colo., Andrew Sexton of Boise, Idaho; and great-grandchildren Megan and Michael Lacey and Zach, Courtney and Tanner Barnes. She is preceded in death by husbands Paul Jordan and Clarence O. Sexton and sons Terry L. Sexton and Ronald M. Jordan.

The family suggests memorial contributions can be made in Mardel's name to CC's Adult Care Home at 13417 W. Rimrock St. Surprise, AZ 85374 or to Hospice of the Valley at 1510 E. Flower St. Phoenix, AZ 85014.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of Wickenburg Funeral Home.
