Departed on Sep. 8, 2006 and resided in Cornville, AZ.

Eleanor H. Becht, 93, resident of Cornville, Arizona, passed away Thursday, September 8, 2006 in the Village of Oak Creek-Sedona, Arizona.

She was born February 5, 1913 to John Franklin and Bertha (Bechman) Stephan in Madison, Indiana, where she grew up and attended the Madison School District.

Eleanor worked as a bookkeeper, and homemaker. She was a member of the Village Park Baptist Church in the Village of Oak Creek. Eleanor was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and mother-in-law who will be missed more than anyone in the world.

Eleanor is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Becht, Jr.; her parents, Frank and Bertha and her sister, Dorthy Stephan.

She leaves behind her daughters, Dorthy and Paul Moore, Reynoldsburg, Oh., and Betty and Bob Hammons,Cornville, Ariz.; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Westcott Funeral Home, 1013 E. Mingus Ave., in Cottonwood.
