Annabelle Eleanor Cruz, 17, of Blackwater died Nov. 18, 2006 in Phoenix.

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Thursday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud Coolidge Chapel. Another visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Friday at the Donna and Luis Villa home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 8 a.m. Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Mission in Blackwater by the Rev. Ed Meulemans. Burial will be in Holy Family Catholic Cemetery.

Ms. Cruz was born Oct. 26, 1989 in Florence. She attended Coolidge High School and was a student of the Central Arizona Valley Institute of Technology. She was a part-time student at Central Arizona College. She had hopes of working for a hospital or laboratory or becoming a nurse. She enjoyed spending time at veterinary clinics and working with animals at Coolidge Veterinary Hospital. She enjoyed several sports, especially softball, and loved to drive and spend time with family and friends.

Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Donna and Luis Villa of Blackwater; her father and stepmother, Daniel and Irma Cruz of Coolidge; four sisters, Angela and Leslie Castillo of Blackwater, Kimberly Juan of Sells and Misty Cruz of Mesa; four brothers, Therin Castillo of Blackwater, Daniel Cruz of Casa Grande, Alex and Ronnie Bullna of Mammoth; and grandmothers, Eleanor Cruz and Leona Castillo. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Eugene Cruz and Jose Castillo, and great-grandmother Ina Antone.
