Departed on Oct. 24, 2006 and resided in Sedona, Arizona.

Charles Foster Doornbos, age 72, resident of Sedona, passed away at his home on Tuesday, October 24, 2006. He was born July 25, 1934 to Charles W. and Ruth (Foster) Doornbos in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

Charles attended Oklahoma University where he obtained his degree in Geology. He served as a Captain and Sharp Shooter in the United States Marines. He worked in Oklahoma as CEO of Charles F. Doornbos Revocable Trust in the oil industry.

His interests included golfing and hiking.

He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Patricia K. Doornbos, Sedona, Ariz.; daughters, Sydney, Darian, Dana and Diane; brother, Phillip; sisters, Ami Preston and Jeanne Doornbos; his step-mother, Barbara Burris; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Sedona.
