Born in Chicago, Illinois on Dec. 21, 1917.
Departed on Oct. 19, 2006 and resided in Cottonwood, Arizona.

Erwin P. Nems, 88, resident of Cottonwood, Arizona, passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2006. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on December 21, 1917 to Anthony and Vera (Stevens) Nems.

He attended and graduated Steinmetz High School, served his country in the U.S. Army as a Corporal during WWII, and worked as a Salesman for Powernail Company for 27 years. Erwin was also a member of the American Legion.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis M. Nems. Erwin is survived by his son, William Nems of Cottonwood, AZ; his daughter, Debra K. Nems of Cottonwood, AZ; his grandson, Donald W. Nems of New Jersey; and his two special “grand-dogs”, Mollie and Teddy.

A Visitation will be held at Westcott Funeral Home, 1013 E. Mingus Ave., in Cottonwood, Arizona on Wednesday, October 25, 2006 from 5:00-8:00 p.m.

Graveside Services will follow Thursday afternoon, October 26, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. at the Sedona Community Cemetery.
