Zaida Teresa Fahey Born in Port Leyden, New York on Feb. 2, 1917. Departed on Dec. 18, 2006 and resided in Camp Verde, Arizona. ZAIDA TERESA FAHEY, 89, resident of Camp Verde, Arizona, left her family to await them in heaven on December 18, 2006. Zaida was born in Port Leyden, N.Y. on February 2, 1917, one of a family of thirteen. Zaida spent her children’s young years at home - building very strong family ties. When the family moved to Arizona in 1961, she became employed at Kresge’s in Phoenix as a clerk. She progressed through many positions at K-Mart until finally retiring at age 70 as head bookeeper at the Flagstaff store. Zaida is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Carlton, and their infant son, Carlton, Jr. (Buddy). Survivors include her eight children: Michael, Kathleen, Maureen, Mary, Timothy, Patrick, Daniel and Brian; sister Hilda; twenty-three grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Francis Cabrini’s Catholic Church in Camp Verde at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 23, 2006.
