Cynthia Mary Blakeway

Born in Chicago, Illinois on Jan. 8, 1948.
Departed on Dec. 25, 2006 and resided in Cornville, Arizona.

Cynthia Mary (Pupelis) Blakeway, 58, resident of Cornville, Arizona, born January 8, 1948 in Chicago, Illinois, passed away on Monday, December 25, 2006 at 2:30am due to a brain hemorrhage.

Cynthia was a loving mother and grandmother. She will be remembered with love by her children as being their absolute rock and mentor as she dedicated her life to the protection from, and preparation for, whatever life held in store for them.

Her many interests included crochet, ceramics, cooking, history, and an affinity for the outdoors. She was also an ardent advocate for the elderly, and spent much of her life as a Certified Nursing Assistant.

Her strength will forever be remembered, and her sacrifices will never be found to have been in vain.

She leaves behind her four children, David K. Gordon, Cottonwood, Ariz., Alexander S. Hastings, Meredith, N.H., Stephanie G. Martin, Chandler, Ariz., and Deidre M. Turner, Catalina, Ariz.; eight grandchildren whom she cherished.

“Here lies, now a prey to insulting neglect, What once was a butterfly, gay in life’s beam: Want only of wisdom denied her respect, Want only of goodness denied her esteem”. - Robert Burns (1794) -
