Guadalupe P. Macias Born in Mexico on Feb. 13, 1920. Departed on Jan. 1, 2007 and resided in Cottonwood, Arizona. Guadalupe “Lupe” P. Macias, 85, resident of Cottonwood, Arizona, passed away on Monday, January 1, 2007. She was born in Mexico on February 13, 1920 to Romaldo and Bonifacia (Medina) Perez. Lupe was very proud of being awarded “Grandmother of the Year”. She was also a proud member of both the Hispanic Choir and the Legion of Mary, with the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lupe G. Macias. She leaves behind her sons, Thomas and Mary Macias, Superior, Ariz., and Richard and Kristan Macias, Cottonwood, Ariz.; her daughter, Martha and Ernesto Velazquez, Mesa, Ariz.; her sister, Lucy Mondragon, Tepic, Mexico; twelve grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. A Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2007 at Westcott Funeral Home, in Cottonwood, from 5:00-7:00 p.m., with the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will follow Friday morning, January 5, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Chruch.
