Edward "Gene" Eugene Fatheree

Edward Eugene “Gene” Fatheree, 87, of Cottonwood, passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2007 in Sedona.

He was born May 8, 1920 in Dewey, Arizona to Eugene “Pete” and Minnie (Cook) Fatheree.

Gene was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy; he was also a retired heavy equipment operator; and well-known for his talent of growing tomatoe plants.

Gene is survived by his wife, Lily E. Fatheree of Cottonwood; step-daughter, Carol Quasula of Cottonwood; sister, Barbara Edwards of Duncan; and one step-grandson, Chris Quasula.

A Memorial Service is scheduled for Thursday, July 12, 2007 at 1:00pm at the Mountain View United Methodist Church in Cottonwood. Interment will occur that same morning at 9:00am in Prescott at the Mountain View Cemetery.
