| John J. McCoy John J. McCoy, “Jack”, 70, resident of Cottonwood, passed away on Friday, September 7, 2007. He was born on April 15, 1937 in Alma, Kansas to John and Rosemarie McCoy. Jack had a Master's Degree in Education, and taught high school English before he retired. He later taught Senior Aerobics and Weight Training at Yavapai Community College. He was an avid runner, and a member of the Valley Athletic Club. He leaves behind his wife of 27 years, Cathy McCoy, Cottonwood; sons, Mark and Gracec McCoy, Matthew McCoy, all of Calif., John McCoy, Id., and Michael McCoy, Ariz.; brothers, Jerre, Calif., and Tom, Tx.; his sisters, Sharron, Neb., and Mary, N.M.; and two grandchildren, Kyle and Allison McCoy. A Memorial Service will be held at Westcott Funeral Home on Thursday, September 13, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. Contributions can be made to: Cottonwood Community Band.
