Charles Jerome Bowers, 73, passed away July 26, 2005 in Kingman, AZ. He was born to Charles and Marion (Karels) Bowers on December 30, 1931 in Chicago, IL. Charles was a 20 year resident of Kingman and a 9 year resident of Lake Havasu from Fontana, CA. He was a proud member of the US Coast Guard during the Korean Conflict. He then went on to be a fireman for the US Coast Guard serving as a fireman for a total of 12 years. Charles served as a police officer for 4 years in Skokie, IL. He was the owner of American Appliance Service Inc. in Lake Havasu and his biggest hobbies were fishing, fixing things and then selling them. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge in Lake Havasu City. Charles is survived by his loving family, sons, Michael Bowers of Detroit, MI; Timothy Bowers of Cabazon, CA and Terrence Bowers of Kingman, AZ; daughters, Tina Holmes and Sharon Allred, both of Lake Havasu; brother, Patrick Bowers of Union City, CA; sister, Joann Arnold of Lake Havasu; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Monday, August 1, 9:00 AM at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens. The VFW Post 9401 and American Legion Post 81 will conduct full military honors. Donations may be made in his name to Hospice of Havasu, PO Box 597, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86405. Arrangements entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
