WHITEHURST, TORI - Tori Carin Whitehurst of Phoenix, Arizona, had a full and rich 4 years of life. She was born on August 13, 2003 in Phoenix.

Our Lord and Savior felt she had fit so much into those 4 years that it was time to bring her light home to heaven. His call came on November 5, 2007.

She is, and always will be, the daughter of Ian and Carin Whitehurst, and younger sister to Rachelle Whitehurst; a granddaughter to Grammy and PaPa; and an angel to countless friends.

Our BIG girl has touched so many souls, each of which will never be the same and will continue to feel the void left by her passing. Her spirit continues on in each person who had the privilege of coming in contact with her.

Tori loved animals, from large horses to the tiniest of bugs, of which she had a knack for catching, but if given the choice, would choose candy and cookies.

She enjoyed time spent together as a family and would make every moment count, most often outdoors, either swinging really high on her favorite swing, picking flowers, blowing bubbles or swimming with her big sister. She attended preschool and was known adoringly as Tori Tornado, Tori-Tor, or Tori-Tot.

She loved the color blue, and now fills the sky with it.

We, as her parents, are honored to have known her and will be eternally grateful for our time together.

Services will be held on Friday, November 9, 2007 at 10:00am at the Christ’s Church of the Valley located at 67th Ave & Happy Valley Road.

A memorial fund has been set up under her name at Chase bank.

Arrangements entrusted to Hansen Desert Hills Mortuary, 480-991-5800. (photo)
