Clarence E. Christl

Clarence E. Christl, 85, passed away at his home in Lake Havasu City, AZ., on Tuesday, February 13, 2007. He was born on January 8, 1922 in Lucca, ND; to Emil and Hermine Christl.

Clarence was raised on a farm near Lucca, ND; where he went to school. His family later moved to West Fargo, ND. Clarence served in the U.S. Army WWII. He spent thirty-three months overseas in Northern France, Battle of the Bulge. Clarence received the Bronze Star in that battle, being discharged honorably in 1945. He married Helen Perlenfein on November 25, 1946 in Brainerd, MN. They moved to Culver City, CA; in 1953. Clarence worked for Voi-Shan until he retired in 1984 and moved to Lake Havasu City, AZ; in 1991.

Clarence is survived by his wife Helen Christl, son James Christl and wife Cherry of Lake Havasu City, AZ; daughter Debora Stebbins and husband Victor of Colton, OR; brother Eugene Christl and wife Bonnie of West Fargo, ND; sister Irene Groce of Wilson, NC; grandchildren, Christie and James Jr., Christl of CA; Angela Christl of Lake Havasu City, AZ; Kevin Stebbbins of CA; Rebecca Grabner of Lake Havasu City, AZ; great grandchildren, Madalyne and Jayden Christl of CA; Abigal Christl of Lake Havasu City, AZ; Cole, Steele, Maddie and Carter of CA; Alexis, Sammantha and Jaylynn Grabner of Lake Havasu City, AZ; and Michelle Jones of Phoenix, AZ. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Ernest Christl of West Fargo, ND.

A visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 16, 2007 at Lietz-Fraze Chapel. A Scripture service will follow 2:00 p.m. at Lietz-Fraze Chapel. Burial will take place at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens, Lake Havasu City, AZ.
