Gene Franklin Foshe, 76, of Prescott Valley, Arizona, born Dec. 18, 1929, in Sheldahl, Iowa, died Wednesday, April 12, 2006, in the VA Medical Center in Prescott, Arizona.

Private cremation will take place at the Bradshaw Crematory in Prescott Valley.

Memorials preferred to the American Cancer Society, Southwest Division, 2724 E. Larkin, Suite 9, Flagstaff, Ariz., 86304.

Gene Franklin Foshe, age 76, died Wednesday, April 12, 2006. in the Bob Stump VA Medical Center Hospice unit.

Gene was born Dec. 18, 1929, in Sheidahl, Iowa, the son of Frank James and Ester (Egerdall) Foshe.

He would enter the U.S. Navy on Feb. 14, 1947, in Des Moines, Iowa. And would be honorably discharged on Dec. 14, 1950, in San Diego, Calif.

Gene would marry the former Bonnetta Lou Woods on Aug. 19, 1950. He was a member of the Fleet Reserve Association. He loved to go camping and fishing. Gene was proudest of his wife and children.

He is lovingly survived by his wife of 55 years, Bonnetta; his children and their spouses, Valeria and Don Wimberly of Alaska, Dennis and Ginger Foshe of Phoenix, Ariz., Tim and Cindy Foshe of Alaska; his grandchildren, Mark Wimberly, Travis Foshe, Shannon Foshe, Tabatha Muston, Katrina Hubbard and Sarah Foshe; his great-grandchildren, Rachelle, Emilee, Jaden and Blaze; also by a sister, Margaret McCauley.

Preceding him in death were his parents; a brother, Wayn Foshe; and a sister, Francis Briant.

Memorials preferred to the American Cancer Society, Southwest Division, Inc., 2724 E. Larkin, Suite #9, Flagstaff, Ariz., 86304.

Arizona Wakelin Bradshaw Chapel assisted the family with arrangements.
