BettyAnn (Garrelts) Farrell

BettyAnn Farrell passed away on August 13, 2008. She was born in Ayrshire, Iowa on February 1, 1934 to Henry and Dorothy (Sager) Garrelts.

BettyAnn spent her childhood in Iowa where she met and married her husband of 54 years, Bernard Farrell. BettyAnn and her husband then moved to Colorado. While her husband was serving in the Korean War, BettyAnn was taking care of their businesses in Colorado and raising their children. She then moved with her family to Lake Havasu City in 1976. BettyAnn was active in the community having volunteered for Hospice of Havasu and Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church.

She is survived by her three children, sons, Shawn Farrell, Todd Farrell and her daughter, Kellie Farrell; two brothers, Franklyn Garrelts and Jack Garrelts; three sisters, Merrylua Clasing, Jane Thompson and Judy Butterworth; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. BettyAnn was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard and her parents.

A visitation will be held at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home on Monday, August 18, from 5 to 7 pm, with a Rosary at 6 pm.. Services will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday, August 19 at 11 am. Burial will follow at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens.
