Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Saturday, December 8, 2007 Steven T. Pappas, a Prescott resident, passed away Dec. 4, 2007, at Kindred Hospital in Scottsdale, Ariz., following eight months of hospitalization. Steven was born July 1, 1964, in Concord, Mass., to Victor and Joan Pappas. The family moved to Arizona in 1980, and Steven graduated from Chaparral H.S. in Scottsdale. He worked as a courtesy clerk at ABCO in Scottsdale for seven years and, after Mr. Pappas moving to Prescott in 1993, working at Albertson’s supermarket for nine years. Prior to his most recent illness, Steven was employed part time at Yavapai Exceptional Industries. Steven was always a happy person who saw nothing but beauty in the world and in people. He enjoyed doing craft work, assisting with decorating the armory for dances, bowling, disco dancing, and amateur photography. Most of all he enjoyed cruising on ocean liners (he took 16 cruises!) and anything and everything having to do with dolphins. Steven is survived by his parents; his older brother Jeffrey V. Pappas of Phoenix. Services will be Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2007, at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church at the corner of Ruger Road and Highway 89 N in Prescott. Viewing starts at 1 p.m. with services at 2 p.m. followed by refreshments. In lieu of flowers, taxdeductible donations may be made to Yavapai Exceptional Industries, 436 N. Washington Ave., Prescott, AZ 86301. Hampton Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements. (Information provided by survivors.) |
