| Lake Havasu City, Ariz. - Frank Gese, 85, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 27, 2005, in Lake Havasu City, Ariz. He was born on Jan. 3, 1920, in Aberdeen, S.D., to Jacob and Phillippine (Buckmeier) Gese. Frank was a WW I I veteran, serving in the U.S. Army at Turner Field, Ga. After his discharge he worked for Northwestern Public Service, until his retirement in 1983. He married Virginia (Weber) on June 26, 1947, and they made their home in Aberdeen, until they moved to Lake Havasu City, Ariz., in 1991. He is survived by his loving wife Virginia “Honey” Gese of Lake Havasu City; son Marvin and wife Marie Gese of Lake Havasu City, Ariz.; three grandchildren, Jeffery Gese, Darin Gese and wife Jennifer, Carmen Hogard and husband Christopher, four great-grandchildren, Brittany, Zachary, Ryan, Kyle; brothers John, William, Joseph and sister Agnes Caldwell. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and two brothers. A memorial gathering will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2005, at his home. A private inurnment will take place at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations may be made in Frank's name to Hospice of Havasu, P.O. Box 597, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86405. Condolences may be sent to 1335 Stardust Drive, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86406. Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
