John Isaac Grand

John Isaac Grand, 83, passed away December 2, 2006 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. He was born to Harold and Viola (Degerman) Grand on November 3, 1923 in Spokane, WA.

John married his best friend, Ruth Sylva in 1952 and together they made Lake Havasu their home 6 years ago from Everett, WA. He proudly served his country under the direction of the United States Navy during World War II. He was an electronics technician for Boeing in Seattle, WA for 30 years. John was a member of the Elks, a 20 year member of the Eagles, an 6 year member of the American Legion and involved with the Order of Blue Gavel District 1 in Washington. In 1982 he earned the title of Commodore for the Puget Sound Yacht Club in Washington.

John is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Ruth; daughter, Barbara (Peter) Werner; granddaughter, Sylvia and her husband Mark; three great grandchildren, Gregory, Nicole, and Gina; friends Bill and Alyse Boyard of Washington and the newest member of the family, Missy.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his good friend, Samantha Mae Grand.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, January 25, 2007, 11:00 AM at the American Legion. Military honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post 81 and the V.F.W. Post 9401.
