Charles E. Gross

Charles Edward Gross, 85, passed away September 13, 2007 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. He was born to William and Grace (Crane) Gross on September 2, 1922 in Tuscola, IL

Charles served under the direction of the United States Navy during World War II. He was a teacher at Johnson Junior High School in West Minister, CA for 20 years. Charles loved to fish and watch sports. He was a first team high school All State fullback at Tuscola, IL. He enjoyed life and enjoyed having fun with everyone, particularly his friends at the Elks.

Charles leaves behind his beloved wife, Dona Gross of Lake Havasu; son, Chuck (Vivian) Gross; sister, Mary Christian; two grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Clarence Gross.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 16, 2007, 10:00 AM at Lietz-Fraze Chapel. Words of comfort and inspiration will be presented by his son Chuck and the B.P.O.E. #2399 will hold a Lodge of Sorrows. Interment will follow the services at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens. Full military honors will be conducted by the VFW Post 9401 and the American Legion Post 81.

In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to go in Charles' name to the Elks Lodge #2399, 3532 McCulloch Blvd., Lake Havasu City, AZ 86406.

Arrangements were placed under the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
