Clint W. Smith, 61, died Monday, Feb. 14, 1972 in Marcus J. Lawrence Hospital at Cottonwood.

A Prescott resident, he was employed by the Yavapai County Highway Department as a heavy equipment operator.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 16 at Ruffner Funeral Home with the Rev. Merle Heatwole of the Skull Valley Community Church officiating.

Mr. Smith had been employed by Yavapai County for the past 22 years. He was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, as well as a member of the Elks Lodge at Williams.

Born in Alma, N.M. he moved to Yavapai County with his family when he was 11 years old. He lived and worked in various towns in the area before settling in Prescott two months ago.

He is survived by his wife, Ada; a son, Lonnie of Phoenix, a daughter, Mrs. Shirley Harris of Prescott, his mother, Mrs. Mary Smith of Cornville, two sisters, Mrs. Thelma Foster of Cornville and Mrs. Ruth Childers of Phoenix, two brothers, Bill of Phoenix and Charlie of Wickenburg., seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Burial will be in the Skull Valley Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Ruffner Funeral Home from 4 to 7 p.m. this evening.
