MARVIN C. HOGARD, JR, 94, died on January 21, 2007 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. Marvin was born on October 10, 1912, in Chicago, IL. Marvin lived much of his life in and around Rockford, IL, before retiring to Lake Havasu City, AZ. in 1980 from Kankakee, IL. He had a fulfilling career as project engineer in product development for the Roper Stove Company (later part of Sears) in both Rockford and in Kankakee, IL. Marvin was one of the first to fly out on McCulloch's planes to purchase land in Lake Havasu City, AZ. His favorite times were working on projects with a dog by his side. In Lake Havasu City, Marvin enjoyed his involvement for many years with the Republican Men's Club and the Republican Forum during his retirement. Contributions in his memory can be made to the Western Arizona Humane Society where he found his last wonderful dog, Jack, a black Lab, loved by him and the other residents of the Jasmine House in Lake Havasu City, AZ. Marvin is survived by his daughter Kathryn Nagel (Bill) Lee of Payson, AZ, and his son, John (Connie) Hogard of Lake Havasu City, 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Florence, and his son Ted Hogard.
