Charles "Bill" Anderson, 62, of Chino Valley, Ariz., born in Wendover, Utah, passed away Nov. 30, 2007, at his home in Chino Valley, Ariz.

Visitation is from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, 2007, at the Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home.

A celebration of Bill's life will be 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 10, 2007, at the American Legion Post #40 in Chino Valley with a final committal at the Chino Valley Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Bill's name to the American Heart Association, 2929 South 48th St., Tempe, Ariz., 85382 or Central Arizona Model Railroad Club, 4750 N. Spruce Road, Chino Valley, Ariz., 86323.

Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral home assisted the family with final arrangements.

Charles “Bill” Anderson, 62, passed away on Friday, Nov. 30, at his home in Chino Valley. The first child of Max and Helen Anderson, Anderson, he was born on Feb. 27, 1945, at Wendover Field (Army Air Corps base) in Utah.

After high school, Bill joined the Air Force and served four years in Southeast Southeast Asia. Several years after leaving the service, he married Janice Ashcraft and the couple lived in San Marcos, Calif., for several years before relocating to Chino Valley, Ariz. In 1986, some time after his marriage to Jan ended, Bill met Sandy Davis and two years later, they were married. They lived happily together in Chino Valley until her unexpected death in April of 2003.

Throughout his time in Chino Valley, Bill was very active in the local American American Legion post and the Central Arizona Model Railroad Club.

Bill is survived by his brother Michael and family and his brother-in-law, in-law, Larry McEachron, who lives in Chino Valley.

A visitation took place at the Arizona Ruffner Wakelin funeral home in Prescott Thursday, Dec. 6, 2007, and a memorial service took place Monday, Monday, Dec. 10, 2007, at the American Legion Post #40 in Chino Valley.
