Joan L. (Trehearne) Lindsey

Joan L. Lindsey, 69, passed away peacefully November 20, 2003 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. She was born to George & Genevieve (Redington) Trehearne on September 25, 1934 in Phoenix, AZ.

Joan has been a resident of Arizona all of her life, moving to Lake Havasu 10 years ago. Joan attended St. Mary's grade school and high school in Phoenix and then went on to Mt. St. Mary's college in Los Angeles, CA for two years. For ten years, she and her husband owned and operated their own poultry business in Phoenix, AZ.

Joan was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church. She was a great homemaker, loved cooking, traveling in her motor home and enjoyed spending time on the computer.

Joan is survived by her beloved husband and best friend of 48 years, James Lindsey; sons, Gary Lindsey and his wife Patty of Phoenix, Robert Lindsey and his wife Michelle of Lake Havasu, Jim Lindsey Jr. and his wife Kim of Phoenix, George Lindsey and his wife Trisha of Phoenix; two daughters, Deanna Gray and her husband Ron of Phoenix and Linda Highland, also of Phoenix; brother, Robert Trehearne and his wife Judy of Pinetop, AZ. She will also be dearly missed by her 16 grandchildren; one great grandchild and four nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in by her father, George who passed in 1987; mother M. Genevieve who passed in 1990 and one brother, Roland Trehearne who passed in 1987.

A visitation will be held, Sunday, November 23 from 6:00 to 7:00 pm with the Rosary at 6:30 PM at Lietz-Fraze Chapel. Funeral services will be Monday, November 24, 11:00 AM at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church. Father Fidelis Igwenwanne will officiate. Interment will follow the services at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to be made to the American Lung Association, 102 W. McDowell Rd., Phoenix, AZ 85003.

Joan loved her children dearly and always wanted the best for them.
