The Lord Jesus welcomed home one of His own with the homegoing of Robert McCamey. Robert (Bob), 91, of Lake Havasu City, AZ, died peacefully in his sleep on Friday, 3/06/09.

He was born, June 11, 1917, in Grove City, Pa. and graduated from the University of Michigan as a Chemical Engineer in Ann Arbor, MI. He served this country as a Lieutenant in the Navy during WWII and worked for Proctor & Gamble for the next 35 years in Chicago, Kentucky and finally at their home office in Cincinnati, Ohio. He retired to Lake Havasu City in 1978.

Bob was one of the founders and an active member of Bethany Bible Church. Throughout his life Bob was an active Christian, leading Bible Study groups, encouraging and corresponding with missionaries, and mentoring other Christians. He lived a life in Christ and was an inspiration to all who knew him. He served the community utilizing his teaching skills to tutor students in English and will be missed by all who knew him.

Bob lost his wife of 71 years, Marie, in Sept. 08, and is survived by his son: Richard McCamey, of Folsom, CA; and a granddaughter, Michelle McCamey, and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to a memorial fund at Bethany Bible Church.

A Memorial service will be held Sunday, March 8, 2009 at 10:45 AM at Bethany Bible Church, 1200 Park Terrace Ave., Lake Havasu City, Arizona. A graveside service will be held Monday, March 9, 2009 at 4:00 PM with a dinner for friends and family to follow.
