Claudia (Marie) Meahl

Claudia Marie Meahl, 63, passed away on November 20, 2004 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. She was born on November 9, 1941 in Lawrence, MA.

Marie moved to Lake Havasu City, AZ; 28 years ago from Northridge, CA. She was the first, full time appraisal office of Lake Havasu, opened in March of 1987. It was and still is, known as Marie Meahl's Appraisal Services. Marie was elected to City Council in 2000, stepped down to run for Mayor and was re-elected to Council, this past election.

Marie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her passing will be a great loss to her family and the community.

Marie is survived by her loving husband Brad F. Meahl, sons Michael Martin and wife Susanna, Darrell Martin and wife Kathy, Robert Martin and wife La Royce all of Lake Havasu City, AZ; daughter DeeDre Hidalgo of Orcas Island, WA; 11 grandchildren, Taylor, Lyle, Jana, Lea, Tamara, Michael, Johnny, Aperyl, Julie, Jason, Jennifer, 5 great grandchildren Kellie, Ashley, Gaige, Larissa, Dylan and her 3 cocker spaniels, Chezly, Samantha and Rowdy.

Funeral services will be held at Lietz-Fraze Chapel on Tuesday, November 23, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Richard Rounds officiating. Burial will follow at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens.

Donations can be made in her name to the Cancer Association of Havasu, 2126 McCulloch Blvd. #7, Lake Havasu City, AZ; 86403, Western Arizona Humane Society, 1100 Empire Dr. Lake Havasu City, AZ; 86404 or Hospice of Havasu, P.O. Box 397, Lake Havasu City, AZ; 86405.

Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
