Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Thursday, December 13, 2007 Jerry D. Hunt Services to celebrate the life of Jerry D. Hunt will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Thursday, Dec. 13, 2007, at St. James Episcopal Church in Kemmerer, Wyo., with Reverend Walt Seeley officiating. Burial will follow in the Herschler Cemetery on Fontenelle Creek in Wyoming. Jerry died at his family family ranch on Fontenelle Creek Dec. 8, 2007. He was born Nov. 1, 1942, to Bill and Nina Hutcheson Hunt in Cottonwood, Ariz. He spent his early life in Humboldt, Ariz., and graduated graduated high school in Prescott, Ariz. Jerry’s entire life was spent as a rancher, and when he met and married Sue Herschler on June 28, 1969, they continued down that path. For the last 30 years, Jerry and his family have raised cattle and horses on Herschler Ranch, now known as V Cross Cattle Company. He devoted his life entirely to his wife and children and the ranch that he loved so much. His courage, pride and faith in God carried him uncomplainingly to the end. His last day was spent feeding his beloved livestock and hunting with his sons and his dogs. He died as he lived – exactly on his terms. Jerry is survived by Sue, his wife of 38 years; his sons, Will and wife Sara, and Ty and wife Kati and Colin. He was preceded in death by his father, Bill, in March of this year.
