Kathleen Kay (West) Ossman

Kathleen Kay Ossman, 74, passed away on October 16, 2005 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. She was born on October 8, 1931 in Washington, D.C; to Walter and Mary West.

At the age of 10, Kathy and her family moved to Southern California. She attended Hollywood High School where she played the saxophone. Following high school, Kathy went on to U.C.L.A., where she received her degree in business management. In 1956, she married Jack Ossman and together they raised a family of 3 boys, Jon and twins, Kris and Karl.

In 1971, Kathy and her family moved from Inglewood, CA; to Lake Havasu City, AZ; where she worked as a certified public accountant, most recently for Green & Seyfert. Kathy was an active member of the Havasu Theater Guild and was always entertaining and loved to dance. She was also a member and past president of the National Mother of Twins Club. She was also active with the Soroptimist International and traveled extensively around the world with these organizations and her many friends.

Kathy is survived by her sons, Jon Ossman and his wife Carol of Kingman, AZ; Kris Ossman and his wife Kim of Lake Havasu City, AZ; Karl Ossman of Lake Havasu City, Az; sister Charlotte Mijares of Duarte, CA; grandchildren, Chantal Cherie Ossman of Lake Havasu City, AZ; and Joshua Jack Ossman of Peoria, AZ. Kathy was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 41 years, Jack who passed away in 1997 and her sister Elizabeth Ann Hold.

Kathy will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.

A celebration of Kathy's life will be held on Friday, October 28, 2005 at St. Michaela's United Methodist Church at 1:00 pm with Rev. Richard Rounds officiating. A reception will immediately follow at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requst donations be made in Kathleen's name to St. Michael's United Methodist Church, 2895 Jamaica Blvd.,Lake Havasu City, AZ; 86406 or Hospice of Havasu, P.O. Box 597, Lake Havasu City, AZ; 86405.

Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
