Lee Chambers Phillips

Lee Chambers Phillips, 83, passed away February 19, 2003 after a lengthy illness at Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. He was born to Murray & Camille (Beymer) Phillips on October 20, 1919 in New Madrid, Missouri.

Lee has been a resident of Lake Havasu for 23 years, moving to Arizona 33 years ago from Bakersfield, California. He worked as a construction engineer for 33 years, most recently for Comer Construction in Lake Havasu City.

Lee was a proud veteran in the US Army Air Corps during WWII attaining the rank of Sergeant.

He is survived by his loving family, son, Thad Phillips of Huntington Beach, California; daughters, Minou Alexander of Sonora, California and Susan Breslauer of Flagstaff, Arizona; one sister Virginia Lou Smith of Coldwater, Mississippi and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in by his wife, Margaret Sattler Phillips who passed away January 15, 1994.

A visitation and rosary will be held Monday, February 24, 2003, 6:00 to 8:00 PM, with rosary at 7:00 PM at Lietz-Fraze Chapel. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 25, 2003, 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church with Father Jorge Gonzalez officiating. Reception to follow at Holy Family Parish Center.

Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
