| Antelope Valley Press Classification 1000 Obituary notices and memorials These ads appeared in the Antelope Valley Press Sunday, April 23, 2006 UNDERWOOD, Carita Elizabeth 77, passed away on Monday, April 17, 2006, in Lake Havasu City, Ariz., after an extended battle with cancer. Carita married Leroy Underwood on June 22, 1947, and relocated to Lancaster, Calif., in 1953, where they lived until 1994, when they moved to Lake Havasu City, Ariz., where she lived until her death. Carita is survived by her husband Leroy; daughters Karon (Michael) Cowan, Deborah Cleare, Starla Rae Underwood; sisters Bernita Janke, Aletah (Richard) Comstock; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Michael. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, April 24, 2006, at Lietz-Fraze Chapel with Rev. Steve Todd officiating. Burial will follow at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, her family request donations to be made in Carita's name to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, 5005 LBJ Fwy., Ste #250, Dallas, TX 75244. Arrangements entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory. See Also: Find A Grave |
