Dorothy T. Reed. 77, passed away April 27, 2006 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. She was born to Elwin and Ida (Nelson) Thompson on January 7, 1929 in Albert Lea, MN. Dorothy moved to Lake Havasu in 1971. For 9 years she worked as a vocational counselor for J.T.P.A. in Lake Havasu. She was a member of the Colorado River Foundation, the LDS Church, Soroptomists, Lake Havasu Genealogical Society, President of Crisis line for Interagency and past President of the Chamber of Commerce. Dorothy is survived by her beloved family, daughters, Nancy Allred of Salt Lake City, UT, Susan (Robert) Byrns of Appleton, WI and Merry Oldfield of Sydney, Australia; brother, William (Doris) Thompson of Albert Lea, MN, sister-in-law, Marian Thompson of Albert Lea, MN; grandchildren, Benjamin (Chrystal) Allred, Elizabeth Allred, Alice Allred, Miriam Allred, Sarah Allred, Esther Allred, Amanda (Patrick) Clemons, Kristina Falk and Alina Oldfield; one great grandchild; special friends, Merl and Jacquie, Bruce and Audrey and Dean. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen O. Reed Jr. and brother, Robert Thompson. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, May 3, 2006, 10:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints. Bishop Albert Salazar will officiate. The family has requested donations be made in her name to the Lake Havasu Genealogical Society, 2126 McCulloch Blvd., Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403.
