Francis Joseph (Tweets) Reihel

Francis Joseph "Tweets" Reihel, 81, passed away June 12, 2004 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. He was born to Stephen and Agnes (Fugel) Reihel on October 24, 1922 in Jersey City, NJ.

Frank moved to Chicago, IL in 1923, where he attended Perry Grade School, Our Lady of Hungary Grade School, Fenger High School and Quigley Prep. Seminary. He joined the US Army, serving in the European Theater and was a field agent for the Counter-Intelligence Corp. For 31 years, he worked for the Illinois Central Railroad and was also assistant manager for the Safety & Suggestion Bureau.

Frank moved to Lake Havasu November 30, 1968 and was 2nd manager for the BPOE 2399 on Mulberry Ave., 1st manager for the Elks on McCulloch Blvd. and worked as a manager of Tommy Kraw's Lounge. He was also a member of the Loyal Order of Moose #2269, American Legion #81, a life member of the VFW 9401, AARP Chapter 3114, the Republican Forum, Friends of the Library, Historical Society, a life member of Knights of Columbus council 6442 and a life member of Knights of Columbus, Rio, CO Assembly 1641 and a former bid member of New Horizons.

Frank is survived by his loving family; sister, Mary Lynch and her husband Dan; sister-in-law, Sue Reihel; four nephews, nieces, cousins and many dear friends in Lake Havasu and Our Lady of the Lake Parish, especially Mary Kiffer, Estee Rathens, Jo Beauchamp and Rosa Grohmann.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dorothy and 2 brothers, Stephen and John.

A visitation will be held Friday, June 18 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Lietz-Fraze Chapel. Rosary will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, February 19, at 10:30 am, with funeral services to follow at 11:00 am. Father Michael Deptula will officiate. A luncheon will follow the services at Parish Family Center.

Arrangements were entrusted Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
