Mary Rose (Platner) Ribich

Mary Rose Ribich passed away November 12, 2008 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. She was born to Frank and Amelia (Ocepek) Platner on June 2, 1924 in Eveleth, MN.

Mary moved to Lake Havasu 29 years ago from Whittier, CA. She volunteered for many different organizations, one being the Catholic Daughters for 29 years. Mary was a life time member of the Columbia Ladies.

Mary is survived by her son, Frank (Norma) Ribich of Redmond, OR; brothers, Frank and Edward Platner, both of Eveleth, MN; sisters, Rose Marie (Frank) Evangelist of New Hope, MN, Gloria (Darrel) Leseman of Eveleth, MN, Barbara (John) Kusnierz of Minneapolis, MN and Carol (Dan) Rutkiewicz of New Brighton, MN; granddaughter Maegen Laura (Toby) Ribich of Manhattan Beach, CA and sister-in-law, Betty Platner of Minnesota.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, who she married October 4, 1945, Frank Jerry Ribich; brother, Albin Platner and grandson, Joel Michael Ribich.

A Rosary will be said at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, February 28, 2009 at 9:30 AM followed by the Memorial Mass at 10:00 AM. Father Chauncey Winkler will officiate the services.
