Lena Scavuzzo passed away peacefully of heart failure at her home in Lake Havasu City on November 25th, 2007. She was born on July 11th, 1920 in Medford, Massachusetts to Ernesto and Evelina (Scalzilli) Delle Donne. She moved from Dorchester, Massachusetts, 29 years ago to make Lake Havasu City her home. Lena was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church. She was still active in the Cancer Association of Havasu, Catholic Daughters of the Americas # 2213 and Oremus Rosary Makers. Lena is survived by her loving family; son Nick Scavuzzo (Vicki) of Kingman, Arizona; daughter Evie Cistaro (Joe) of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; step-son Jay Scavuzzo (Cindy) of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; brother Ernest Delle Donne (Jessie) of Medford, Massachusetts; grandsons Nick, Ron and Tony Scavuzzo; granddaughters, Tracy Culwell (Joe) and Gina Schwab (Sean); great grandchildren Jessica, Dylan, Cody, Taylor, Jake and Joe all of Lake Havasu City, AZ; step grandchildren Steve (Donna), Michael and Paul Gladis (Roberta) and Joe Scavuzzo (Annebelle) ; 6 step great grandchildren and 2 step great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews on the east coast and many dear friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Ernesto and Evelina Delle Donne; husband Carmelo Scavuzzo; sister Elda Connolly; grandson Joseph Cistaro; stepdaughter Margaret Gladis and step grandson Bill Scavuzzo. Lena was the most caring and kind person you could ever meet. Her family was most important. She loved everyone, especially her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and cherished every moment she spent with them. She was the greatest MOM and best friend anyone could ever ask for. Though she was small in stature she had a giant heart. Her family, friends and her faith is what gave her strength. A mass will be said at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church on Thursday November 29, 2007 at 11:00 with Father Fidelis Igwenwanne officiating. Burial will follow at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens. Lenaâ?Ts wishes are in lieu of flowers, contributions be made in her name to Cancer Association of Havasu, P O Box 1410, Lake Havasu City, Arizona or Catholic Daughters of Americas #2113 Scholarship Fund or Oremus Rosary Makers in care of Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church.
