Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, December 12, 2007 Harry H. White Mr. White Dec. 19, 1918 – Dec. 3, 2007 Harry passed away at his residence in Dewey, Ariz. He was born in Ashtabula, Ohio, in 1918. After graduating graduating from high school there, he worked in the hardware industry until he enlisted in the United States Air Force. He served in the China India Burma Theater. He was on Tinian Island when the Enola Gay took off for a mission that ended WWII. After returning from military service, Captain Harry White worked as a city fireman for nine years. He married Karleene Andrews in 1954 and they moved to Oswego, N.Y., where in 1960 he obtained his teaching degree in Industrial Arts at the State University of New York. Harry and Karleene both enjoyed 20 rewarding years teaching at the G. Ray Bodley High School in Fulton, N.Y., retiring in 1980. In 2002, they moved to Arizona. Harry is survived by his wife Karleene; his son Jeff White of Oswego, N.Y. A graveside service was at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, 2007, at the Heritage Memorial Park Cemetery in Dewey, Ariz.
