Geneva (Keleher) Tuomi was born February 16, 1915, the daughter of Daniel and Anna Keleher in Murray County, MN. She passed away August 13, 2008 in Lake Havasu City at the age of 93. She grew up on the home farm in Tracy, MN. After graduation she was employed in Minneapolis as a seamstress at Munsingwear. She and Eino Tuomi were married on November 25, 1954. They moved to Lake Havasu, AZ in 1971 and sold real estate in Lake Havasu for several years. Gen was a very active member of Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church, the Catholic Daughters, the D.A.V. and most importantly, the VFW Auxillary. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Eino on March 13, 2002; brothers, Joseph, Patrick, Daniel and Thomas; sisters, Ann, Rose and Kathleen; step brothers and sisters, Clarence, Charles, John, Lucy, Helen, Martha and Mary. She is survived by her two sisters, Madalyn Lasnetske and Theresa Schaaf; brother, Arthur Keleher, all of Minnesota. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Dean and Laura McElroy and all her caregivers, Jan, Florence and Hildi. A funeral mass will be held Saturday, August 16, 2008, 11:00 am at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church. Father Chauncey Winkler will officiate. A private interment will take place at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens.
