Herbert T. Wagner, 82, of Lake Havasu City passed away June 23, 2004. He was born September 8, 1921 to Theodore and Leona (Ullrich) Wagner in Milwaukee, WI, where he graduated from Messmer High School and Marquette University and was employed as a Veterans Counselor for Milwaukee County Service Office prior to his move to Arizona. Herbert resided in Arizona since 1976 where he was employed in Lake Havasu as a Social Service Worker with the Arizona Department of Developmental Disabilities and later in Phoenix as a Veterans Service Officer with the Arizona Veterans Service Commission. A veteran of World War II, he was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Knights of Columbus, the St. Josephs Benevolent Society, Our Lady of the Lake parish in Lake Havasu and St. Bernadette Parish of Milwaukee, WI. He was also an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers. Herbert is survived by his wife of 57 years, Merna (nee Koval); sons, Wayne Wagner of Milwaukee, Dennis Wagner of Vermont; daughters, Cheryl Bell of Red Granite, WI, Karen Krogman of Milwaukee WI; eleven grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. A gathering will take place on Sunday, June 27 at 6:30 PM with the Rosary at 7:00 PM and military honors to follow, conducted by the VFW Post 9401 at Lietz-Fraze Chapel. Memorial services will be held Monday, June 28, 11:00 AM at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Herbert Wagner's name to Hospice of Havasu, PO Box 597, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86405.
