Shirley Jean (Macke) Wells

Shirley Jean Wells, 72, passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2007 at her home in Lake Havasu City, AZ; with her loving family by her side. She was born on September 14, 1934 in Fisk, MO; to Eldon Ray Macke and Lola May (Andrews).

Shirley moved to Lake Havasu City, AZ; 2 years ago from Anchorage AK; where she has lived for the past 37 years. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 28 in Anchorage, AK; a member of 8/40 and LaFemms, in association with unit 28 of the American Legion. Shirley loved to do puzzles, play games, especially bingo. She was an avid reader, loved boating on the lake, music, crafts and spending time with her family, friends and her dog Shadow. She also enjoyed traveling in the motorhome and loved to make reservations at restaurants.

Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Robert, sons, Robert Wells Jr.,(Nancy) of Anchorage, AK; Charles Bennett of Las Vegas, NV; Victor Bennett (Judy) of Oroville, CA; daughter Linda Bright (Michael) of Santa Cruz, CA; brother Charles Macke (Diane) of Breckenridge, TX; eight grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens on Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at 10:00 a.m.

Her family has requested donations be made to Hospice of Havasu, P.O. Box 597, Lake Havasu City, AZ; 86405.

Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory
