John Thomas Wright III, 59, passed away Monday in Winslow. He was born Nov. 14, 1948, in Long Beach, Calif., to John Wright II and Almira (Larsen) Wright.

John served proudly under the direction of the United States Army. He worked for Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad as a locomotive engineer for the past 31 years. He was a member of the Brotherhood League of Engineers. John was a great father who was full of life. He loved Jesus Christ and was proud of his affiliation with the Church of Christ. He was a hard worker and spent a lot of time building on to his home.

John is survived by his wife, Sandra Wright, of Lake Havasu; sons, John Wright IV, Sam Owens and Clayton Lutz; daughters, Dianna Wright, Samantha Deanda, Candice Lutz and Nicole Lutz; mother Almira Wright; brother, Joseph Wright; sisters, Helen Pippin, Shawn Allen, Karen Neill and Glenda Mann and six grandchildren.

A visitation will be held Friday from 8:30-9:00 a.m., at Lietz-Fraze Chapel. Graveside services will follow the visitation at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens at 9:30 am. Military honors will be presented by VFW Post 9401 and American Legion Post 81.
