Marjorie McPhail Runner

Marjorie McPhail Runner of Wickenburg passed away on June 20, 2004. She was born Jan. 1, 1916 on a ranch near Saratoga, Wyo., where she grew up and graduated from Saratoga High School before marrying John Wayne Runner on June 4, 1933. They ranched near Saratoga, Elk Mountain and Pavillion, Wyo. before retiring to Niland, Calif. and Wickenburg.

"Grandma" Runner is survived by five sons, Jack (Barbara) Runner, Tonopah, Ariz.; Bill (Charlene) Runner, Kinnear, Wyo.; Bob Runner, Stewart (Betsy) Runner, Tonopah, Ariz., and Tom Runner, West Palm Beach, Fla. She is also survived by two sisters, Mildred Bashore, Riverton, Wyo., and Margaret Runner, Chino Valley, Ariz., as well as 11 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband John and grandson Don Runner. She will be missed by her many friends and relatives.

Memorial service will be held on June 25, 2004 at 10 a.m. at Frey Funeral Home. Memorials may be sent to Sun Health Hospice or the Saratoga Eastern Star, where she was a 50-year member and past worthy matron.

Arrangements were handled by Frey Funeral Home.
