The White Mountain Independent's Online Edition - Leslie Steven Fletcher - 06/21/2005 Leslie Steven Fletcher, 35, of Show Low died suddenly at home Tuesday, June 14, 2005. He was born March 12, 1970 in Tucson. He graduated from Flowing Wells High School in 1988. Les was an ASE certified mechanic. He had a great love for cars. Les also graduated from the Tucson Police Academy. He worked his way through college to earn his degree as an Occupational Therapist while raising his family. He was a devoted member of the Show Low Elks Lodge 2090. He was also Master Mason of the AAron Lodge No. 49 in Tucson. Les was also a Shriner in San Diego, Calif. Les is survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Ruth; his son, Steven (13) and his daughter, Kimberly (11); his father Leslie D. (Patti) Fletcher of Tucson; mother, Paula Payne (Gene) Simpson of Burton; two sisters, Tolly (Giovanni) Valente of Los Angeles and Robin Carpenter of Kingman; five brothers, Todd Fletcher of Coronado, Calif., Leigh Westfall of Calif., Floyd Simpson, Chris Simpson, and Reese Simpson all of Burton; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends. Funeral services were held Saturday, June 18 at the Show Low Elks Lodge, 805 E. Whipple. Leslie will be laid to rest in the Show Low Cemetery. Owens Mortuary of Show Low handled the arrangements.
