Eileen Dilene Grubb, 76, died Friday, Oct. 21, 2005 in Show Low.

She was born and raised in Hebron, North Dakota. Following high school she attended two years of college at Jamestown College in North Dakota until 1950. In 1953 she received her RN degree from Swedish Covenant Hospital in Minneapolis, Minn. She also had a scholarship to the University of Minnesota and became certified as a Public Health Nurse. Eileen worked as a nurse at Glenwood, Minnesota for a year, and then moved to Denver, Colo. where she worked as a visiting health nurse and as a nurse at the PHS hospital in Crown Point, N.M. she also worked at the PHS Indian Hospital in Whiteriver for a time. On Jan. 19, 1957 she married Martin Grubb in Denver, Colo. She then became a housewife and homemaker from 1958 to 1972. Eileen began to work for Blue Ridge Elementary School in 1972 working in the Special Education Department until 1988. She attended Calvary Baptist Church in Show Low and was also a member of the Gideon International Auxiliary.

Eileen is survived by her son, John Grubb of Lakeside.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28 at the Calvary Baptist Church in Show Low. Interment will be in the Show Low Cemetery.

Owens Mortuary of Show Low handled the arrangements.
