Alfred Henry (Poley) Keith

Alfred H. "Poley" Keith, 60, died Thursday, April 28, 2005 at the La Canata Nursing Home in Tucson.

He was born in Flagstaff and was raised in Pinedale. When he was a teenager the family moved to Nutrioso where his father worked in the logging woods. Later he lived in Cuba, New Mexico and Show Low. Following in his fathers footsteps, he also worked in the logging woods and became the owner-operator of Keith Trucking. In 1998 he suffered a stroke and had to retire. He lived in Phoenix from 1999-2003 when he moved to a nursing home in Tucson. Alfred enjoyed being with his family and socializing with his friends.

Alfred is survived by his daughters, Kimberly Barlow of Arizona City, Leslie Nelson of Payson, Utah; sons, Walter B. Keith of Marana, James K. Keith of Show Low, Elton G. Keith of Flagstaff; mother, Beulah Evans; brother, Johnny Keith of Show Low; sister, Janice Ingrahm of Elkhorn, Utah; 20 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren; two step children, Thomas Tomlinson of Vernon, Ginger Elwood of Payson, Utah.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, May 2, 2005 at the Show Low Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, May 1 at Owens Mortuary in Show Low.
