The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 01/06/2006 Richard Arthell Lewis, 86, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2005 in Mesa. He was born May 21, 1919 in Eastland, Texas. Richard served in the Army during World War II as a First Sergeant in Normandy and also at the Battle of the Bulge. He was a loving father and will be deeply missed. Richard is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary L. Lewis of Show Low; daughters, Susan Janet Oritz of Wenachee, Washington and DeeAnn DeVilbiss of Scottsdale; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Graveside services were held at 1p.m. Monday, Jan. 2 at the Show Low Cemetery. Owens Mortuary of Show Low handled the arrangements.
