The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona 01/25/2005 Preston C. Price died Jan. 19, 2005 in Tempe He was born in Phoenix where he grew up and attended South Mountain High School. He ended up marrying his high school sweetheart, Mina Howard Feb. 21, 1958. They had three children, Chris, Cindy, and Bobby. Preston was employed with Associated Grocers and delivered to northern Arizona. He was drawn to the natural beauty of the area and in 1968 he moved his entire family to "his beautiful mountain top" of Show Low. He later was employed with Roadrunner Trucking as a dispatcher and also drove truck delivering mail for a sub-contractor of the U.S. Postal Service. He also owned several of his own trucks. After losing his wife in a tragic accident, he married Donna Rogers May 25,1991. They built a beautiful home in Taylor. With this marriage he gained a wonderful and large family with nine children. In his pastime, Preston enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, riding motorcycles, riding horses, and shooting guns. He was an avid re-loader of ammunition and hardly ever bought his own. He was a people pleaser, usually cheerful and happy and very generous, caring and good hearted. No one ever disliked him. He was a life long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had various church callings throughout his life including ward clerk, stake clerk, ward missionary, stake mission leader and most recently high priest leadership of the Taylor 6th Ward. He will be dearly missed by all that knew him. Preston is survived by his wife Donna, two sons; Chris and Bobby, one daughter; Cindy, six step-sons; Reid, Mark, Gary, Jared, Aaron and Nathan, three step-daughters; Jody, Darla and Kaylani, thirty-one grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 26 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Taylor Stake Center. There will be a visitation from 6-8 P.M. Tuesday, Jan. 25 at Owens Mortuary in Snowflake and interment will be in Show Low Cemetery. See Also: Find A Grave |
