The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Sunday, March 26, 2006 Doris Elisabeth Whitworth, age 67, of Cordes Lakes, passed away March 22, 2006. She was born Aug. 17, 1938, in Germany, to Emma and Gebhardt Egle. Doris loved living in the State of Arizona and enjoyed its beauty. Doris and Wayne spent a lot of time together hiking Havasupai Falls at the Grand Canyon. Doris also enjoyed gardening, spending time with her family and hiking all through Arizona. Survivors include her loving husband and soul mate of 23 years, Wayne Whitworth; son Ralph (Angelina) Navarino; daughters, Sandra (Seamus) Lee, Patricia (Joe) Winters, Carrie (Bob) Janeal, and Jodi (Shawn) Griffin. She also leaves behind fourteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three older sisters, Cornelia Dekrell, Margareta Tiemann, and Gerda (Bob) Warren; and eleven nieces and nephews. A special thanks to Charlotte, Heidi and Mary at YRMC Hospice; you have all been a gift to our family. Commemoration services in honor of Doris will be held at noon Tuesday, March 28, 2006, at Chapel of the Valley in Fain Park, Prescott Valley with Reverend Charlotte Bryan-Matzke.
