John Wesley (Jack) Johnson

John Wesley (Jack) Johnson died Jan. 19 at his home in Taylor. He was born March 7, 1926 in San Pedro, Calif. to John Ellis Johnson and Erma Ann Simkins.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Peggie Ellsworth Johnson; daughter-in-law, Sioux, sons, Fred (Karen), Carl (Chrissy), Melvin (Beverly), Steven (Vicki), Wiley (Wylie Jo), and daughter, Sandra. He is also survived by 35 grandchildren and 57 great-grandchildren. He has a brother, Donald (Betty) living in Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother Ernest Duane, his oldest son, Daniel and granddaughter Rachel. He served in the U.S. Navy.

A viewing will be held Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Owens Mortuary in Snowflake. Services will be held Saturday, Jan. 27 at 10 a.m. with a viewing one hour prior at the Taylor Stake Center on 309 West Willow Lane.

Interment will be immediately after the services in the Taylor Cemetery.

John Wesley 'Jack' Johnson, age 80 passed away at his home in Taylor January 19, 2007. He was born March 7, 1926 in San Pedro, CA to John Ellis and Erma Ann Simkins Johnson. He served in the Navy and was a manager of a Feed Store. He has lived in Arizona for the past 19 years.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Peggie Ellsworth Johnson, 5 sons, Fred (Karen), Carl (Chrissy), Melvin (Beverly), Steven (Vicki), Wiley (Wylie Jo); one daughter, Sandra and a daughter-in-law, Sioux. He is also survived by a brother, Donald; 35 grandchildren and 57 great-grandhildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Ernest Duane, his oldest son, Daniel and a granddaughter, Rachel.

Funeral services will be held Sat. January 27th at 10:00 A.M. at the Taylor Stake Center, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with a visitation one hour prior at the church and from 6-8:00 P.M. Fri. Jan. 26th at Owens Mortuary in Snowflake. Interment will be in the Taylor Cemetery
