Thomas Wayne Nashio (December 21, 1973 - February 7, 2008) Thomas Nashio,34, of Whiteriver passed away February 7th at the Whiteriver U.S.P.H.S. Hospital. A Wake will begin at 10:00 A.M., Monday, February 11th, at his residence, 6 West Maple, in Whiteriver. Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 12th at the Aday Memorial Hall with Gary Lupe officiating. Burial will follow at the Whiteriver Cemetery. Thomas was born December 21, 1973, in Whiteriver the son of Walter and Neva (Thompson) Nashio. He was raised and attended school in Whiteriver. He worked for ten years in the education field first as a Teachers Aide and later as the Responsible Thinking classroom teacher. He enjoyed fishing and Reggae music. He was of the Lutheran Faith and was a member of the Behavior & Health Organization and a sponsor for the Apache Club. Survivors include his mother, Neva Nashio; daughter, Shyla Tommie Nashio; and companion, Carmen Lupe; sisters, Lisa Nashio, Bobbi Nashio, Natasha Nashio, Vanessa Nashio and Wanda Nashio; brothers, J. R. Nashio and Duane Nashio, Sr.; God- Parents, Wayne and Patricia Banashley. He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Nashio, Jr. and a sister, Esther Nashio McReynolds.
