Faye E. Gardner, better known in Kearny as the “Doll Lady,” has passed on and with her leaving, so ends an era, started in the 1960s, of her fantastic Barbie doll clothes, which have been the delight of many young girls on their birthdays, or at Christmas time, or other happy occasions. She was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho on March 15, 1927, to Kenneth Alvero Campbell and LaRetta Carter. She passed away in her home at Sprucedale Guest Ranch, Alpine on July 24, 2009. She will be laid to rest on July 30, to join the love of her life, Don L. Gardner, who preceded her in death Oct. 28, 1998. She is survived by her daughters, Phyllis (Ellis) Wiltbank, of Eagar, Bonnie Tefertiller of Oroville, Washington, Jenny (Jerry) Macgee of Aravaipa; her niece, CJ Bohala (Johnny Hernandez); her grandchildren, Maron O'Brien, Jonathan Chitwood, Spencer Wiltbank, Roscoe Stout, Samantha Lake, Billie Ann Radjawski, Jerry Magee II, Janai Aranda, Melissa Briedel, and Mark Macgee; 24 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Betty Lou Campbell, Carol E. Amaral, Kay Herbs, and Jane Campbell. Services will be on Thursday, July 30, at the Church of Latter-day Saints in Kearny, with interment immediately following at Kearny Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if you would like, Faye would appreciate donations to the American Cancer Society. See Also: Arizona Gravestone Photo Project |
